What is SpringfieldBlock?
SpringfieldBlock is an independent, Springfield, Massachusetts-focused social network built for people who want to reconnect with old friends, meet new people, and share what makes their community special.
Whether you grew up in Springfield, live here now, or moved away, you can still rep your block. We're bringing back the personal feel of old-school social networking with profiles, friends, photos, and conversations.
SpringfieldBlock is for adults ages 18 and older.
What makes SpringfieldBlock different?
Old-school social networking
Build friendships, choose your Top 8, share photos, leave profile comments, and send private messages. It's about connecting with people, not collecting followers.
Make your profile yours
Add a profile picture, cover photo, About Me section, and your favorite music, movies, and hobbies. You can also set a mood to show how you're feeling.
Represent your block
From the North End and South End to Forest Park, Mason Square, Indian Orchard, Sixteen Acres, and beyond, SpringfieldBlock is a place to celebrate the neighborhoods and people that make the city what it is.
Member badges
Administrators can award special profile badges: Founding Member, Verified Member, Community Supporter, Event Organizer, and the gold VIP Member badge. Badges are not automatically awarded to everyone.
Control your profile comments
Comments left on your profile are held for your approval before appearing publicly. You decide which comments to approve or delete.

How old do I have to be to join?
You must be at least 18 years old to register for SpringfieldBlock.
Do I have to live in Springfield?
No. People who grew up here, moved away, or simply have an interest in Springfield are welcome, provided they meet the age requirement.
Can I customize my profile?
Yes. You can add a profile picture, cover photo, About Me section, interests, favorite music, movies, and hobbies.
What is the Top 8?
Top 8 lets you feature eight of your friends on your profile, just like classic social networking.
Can I message other members?
Yes. SpringfieldBlock supports private messaging between members.
Can I upload photos?
Yes. Members can add photos to their profile galleries.
Can other members comment on my profile?
Yes, but you must approve comments before they appear on your profile. You can also delete comments.
What is the Mood feature?
You can select a mood, display it on your profile, and change or clear it whenever you want.
How do I get a VIP Member badge?
VIP Member badges are awarded by SpringfieldBlock administrators. Members cannot award badges to themselves.
Is SpringfieldBlock affiliated with the City of Springfield?
No. SpringfieldBlock is independently operated and is not affiliated with or officially endorsed by the City of Springfield, Massachusetts.
What if I have a problem with another member?
Please use the contact information available on SpringfieldBlock to report harassment, impersonation, threats, or other inappropriate behavior.
